Monitoring Of Progress Log 1
Strengths:
• I have written a great review on the film ‘despicable me’ as I used plenty of keywords and give my own opinions and how I felt about it
• Developing on my creative media by being able to research certain areas about the southbank and see what they are about and who their funded by
• My review of the southbank was good because I thought it was very personal on how I felt about it and how I enjoyed going there and how it appealed to other people.

Weaknesses:
• I feel I could do more research
• I haven’t yet completed the review of the southbank as my work got deleted but I should of backed it up on my memory stick.
Things I need to improve on:
• Should spend more time at home finishing the work I didn’t complete at collage because of I continue at the rate I am working at now, this will affect my final grade
• In addition finishing off my work, I need to tweak my review on ‘despicable me’ so I could probably get a higher grade

Strengths:
• My Front cover of my guide is complete
• I have taken a large quantity of photos at a good quality so it helped me add several things to my front cover of my guide, which made it more interesting to look at.
• I tried out a large range of fonts styles and colours to try make my font stand out but not look too different to the factors in the background

Weaknesses:
• I need to start on my middle pages or else I would start to fell behind.
• Although I have finished my front cover, I feel that there is a bit too much on it so I may have to go back and edit it.
• My audience may not know what the background is or may find it difficult to see.
Things I need to improve on:
• Working quickly is essential so I don’t fell behind so I need to do may middle pages at home.
• In addition finishing off my work, I need to tweak my review on ‘despicable me’ so I could probably get a higher grade.

Strengths:
• My brochure is finally completed
• I Have completed my brochure at a high standard and have edited it will
• I made my brochure have a constant theme throughout and I used nearly all of my own photos
Weaknesses:
• I did not receive an email inviting me to the blogger, which means I cannot start uploading my work on to the blog.
• Although I have finished my front cover, I feel that there is a bit too much on it so I may have to go back and edit it.
• I feel the my middle is a bit too different and plain compared to my front and back.
Things I need to improve on:
• Working quickly is essential so I don’t fell behind so I need to receive the email as quickly as possible and start at home
• In addition finishing off my work, I forgot to tweak my review so I need to tweak my review on ‘despicable me’ this week so I could probably get a higher grade.

Strengths:
• I am starting to upload my work onto the blogger
• My work is nearly up to the standard I wanted it to be at.
Weaknesses:
• We have started a new unit but since I wasn’t in, I have to catch up at a tremendous pace.
• I need to upload my broche onto the blogger
Things I need to improve on:
• I will need to work at home and finish my scene work
• In addition finishing off my work, I forgot to tweak my review so I need to tweak my review on ‘despicable me’ this week so I could probably get a higher grade.

These are my final designs of my brochure. As you can see from my front cover, I have changed several things that I thought would present my work my nicely. this includes me pointing at the bottom-left corner of the page. I changed the colour of me pointing as I thought if it stayed back it would clash with the background making the audience unable to see it. I chose the colours purple and blue as correlate with each other well plus it stands out which was my main attention.
In addition to this I have moved the fatter minion next to the top of the page with Charlie Chaplin and mickey house because before, the minion was getting in the way of the picture of me as well as wanted to I want to show the image of my pointing was actually pointing at the quite thinner minion and that minion will be point at the word 'Southbank Centre'.
I included an image of my friend with a camera in her hand to try and make her look like a tourist and the reason for doing this was to show my target audience that the Southbank is made for tourists. As you could see the image is a tilted to show that she is trying to take a picture of mickey, Charlie and the yellow minion and this is to warn the audience that they may see these people/things as they walk though the Southbank.
Looking at the typography on the front cover of my brochure, I have added two differnt coloured backgrounds on to thw words 'The Southbank'. This is because it makes the typography more appealing to the target audience and stands out more making it easier for the tourists to notice. I included the mouth range the brochure will stretch till so the tourists will know if the brochure is reliable or unreliable.

As you can see I have included a fancy looking title saying the 'BFI IMAX' in the same typography as the left page but in a different font size. for my 'Now Showing' I added two cinema viewings that will be in mainly based in march as it gives the tourists time to read the brochure and pick which film they want to attend in the IMAX.
For each cinema viewing, I added some information about the film (mainly the plot of the film) so my target audience would know a bit about the film before actually seeing it. in addition to this, the images gives the tourists an idea of who the main characters will look like in the film. At the back of my brochure I included the Southbank website finally.

As I finished my brochure, I believed that the colour scheme and the continuation of it was good as it was consistent though out. The only thing I would change is my front cover as it seems to be too plain to me because there is not enough images. if I was to do this project again I will use a college style more frequent was mean I would have to take more pictures.

As you can see, I added the 4th event and a map of the area but I still need to include the Southbank website and since I added the 4th event, there doesn't not seem to be allot of space for everything so I may have to resize everything to make everything look spacey yet again.

as you can see the background for the back is related to the front cover and I spaced out the events as it makes it clearer to my target audience what is for what. the images are added for each event to give my audience an idea of what to expect from the event and the information I included is not too much to too small as it gives my audience and good description of what is happening.
the colour scheme is brilliant as all the colours shine and brings out all the colours. the vital information like the date and the location is added because if they were not included the audience will not know where to go or when the event is being held. the contact details are included in case any one wants more information on the events.
Next I plan to add an extra event and a map of the events held near the same area as well as the southbank website

As you could see, I changed quite allot of things- firstly I changed the background back to the original as it will be best to keep it constant.
I have included more images on the left side of my page because it now starting to look like a college, the thing that will make this better is if I put more images in, it would fill the page up making it look better. I have changed the information about the IMAX as the other information I had included was too long and I wouldn’t have enough space to include the now showing films.
I made the BFI logo have an effect and a red and green glow around as I think it looks more pleasant to the eye. As I attended to add from my sketch design, I included the slogan ‘experience the biggest screen in the UK.’ I thought adding this was vital as it summarises the BFI IMAX in a couple words.

I decided to change the colour of the background to blue as I thought it would be good to have to have a different colour to the front as well as it worked well. I started to college my images from the films in the IMAX but it doesn’t look up to standard but think I add my images I think it should look good and match my vision. I have included the information about the IMAX but its too large and too much so I plan to change to size of it and delete some irrelevant things.
When I work on my middle pages I plan to change quite allot of things, as it doesn’t look good. In Addition to this I need add information about the films I want to add and the release dates.

On my second draft of my front cover, I included a second image of a street performer which was someone dressed as Mickey Mouse and also included to images of the minions from the film ‘despicable me’ which is relating to the BFI theme. The image of me was added for know particular reason but I felt it was quite plain so I included it. If my front cover didn’t have enough space on it, I would delete it and use the space for something else. I added the sign of the location so the audience would know the name of the road and the postcode that will make locating the Southbank a lot easier. The image at the bottom left corner is me pointing at the minion which will also be pointing at the ‘Southbank Centre.’
